My Saab has more than 280,000 miles on its odometer, and just when I'm ready to throw in the towel, Hotchkiss convinces me that I needn't pull the plug just yet. Auto repair, for those of us who know nothing of internal combustion engines, is all about trust. Hotchkiss always delivers honest, quality service at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? Bring it here. You will not be disappointed. What can I say about this business and its owner? My old car keeps on ticking with 268k on the odometer, and Hotchkiss keeps on finding reasonable ($) solutions to potentially expensive problems. Honest, creative, high quality people from the owner, to the mechanics, to the front office. Take your car here, and you will not be disappointed. Love these guys!!! Read more Without a doubt, this is one of the best repair shops around. I drive an aging Saab, an east coast car, with all of the rust, frozen nuts and bolts, and other scars from years of exposure to road salt. After receiving an estimate for pads and rotors, sway bar links, and bushings that exceeded my budget, I decided to do the work myself with parts ordered from Rock Auto. The brakes went relatively smoothly, but a pair of stubborn bolts on the passenger-side sway bar link, lack of an air gun, and too many hours of toil forced me to give up and call Hotchkiss. Christi was fabulous! She told me Hotchkiss would be willing to remove the stubborn, rusted sway bar link and rear bushings and replace them with parts I had ordered from Rock Auto. The charge would be for labor only with the caveat that the work would not be under warranty because the shop would not be supplying the parts. When the tech removed rear bushings, he discovered that the originals were in fine shape and would not require replacement. I walked away with a new front sway bar link, no charge for the labor on the rear bushings, and a bill under $50. This is a first class, honest business. My old car has a new home for all services, both minor and major. Read more

Hotchkiss is awesome. They're friendly and honest and do great work. They learn your name and remember you when you come back. The best car repair experience I've ever had!

A while back we got a remote car started from Car Toys. Car Toys could never actually get the started installed, but left me with my interior dash lights being unable to dim. They couldn't help me fix it. It was very dangerous at night (especially in the mountains!) when the bright dash lights would give a glare on the windshield. I brought my car to Hotchkiss. I expected it to be an expensive electric issue costing a few hundred dollars. NOPE! The staff at Hotchkiss found the dimmer was unplugged. They fixed it free of cost!!! The staff was friendly, courteous, and HONEST. I will be taking any car repair business in the future to them.

Elite '2020 Elite '2020 Great experience. They were honest and did great work. I had to wait a week to have an inspection for a brake problem, but they were kind enough to test drive my car immediately and make sure it was safe to drive in the meantime.

Hotchkiss has worked on my families cars for a very long time. I've taken mine to them in the past and have always been impressed with the level of service. This last visit however really made them stand above. I took my car to a Pep Boys for what I thought was a battery issue. When it turns out to be a fuel pump and they quoted me $1200 for the part and another $500 minimum for an overall price, I called Hotchkiss immediately. After repeating everything the other con-artist told me, Patrick said "That doesn't sound right at all". After jumping on the phone with a dealer, he tells me the part is $350, labor another $125 max. I had my car towed there immediately, and even though they quoted me as being backed up a week, they had my car Tuesday afternoon and had it ready for me on Friday morning first thing. At less than half the cost quoted by Pep Boys. Everyone here is incredibly friendly, but more than that, they are HONEST! I won't lie, in the past I have had to pay a pretty penny, but that's due to the nature of the car trouble. They are very thorough, trustworthy, and always pleasant to speak with. Lesson learned, I will only be taking my car to Hotchkiss from now on, whether it's for an oil change, a freon charge, brakes, or anything else. Thank you very much for being a good mechanics shop. You have my loyalty.

A fantastic experience from their very capable and knowledgeable staff. I had a flashing check engine light and limped in one morning. They were booked but had my car (an Audi A3) out the door the next day, well before I was expecting it. I've done a fair bit of wrenching myself and they explained the issue very well.

Thanks, Josh, for the kind review! We strongly believe our job is to advise and educate customers so they can make the best decisions for their vehicle. We appreciate your trust in our team and hope you stay in touch!

We brought our car here a couple times on the recommendation of a friend for a simple oil change and check over. They got it taken care of well, quickly, and at a good price. They also didn't try to tell me there was a lot of extra, unnecessary work that needed to be done, which I've run into unfortunately often at other mechanics. We've since moved further away in the Denver area, but haven't found a trustworthy mechanic nearby, so will probably be coming back. I can't speak to them doing major work on our cars, but they've earned my trust so far.

Thanks, Kevin, for the kind review! We strongly believe our job is to advise and educate customers so they can make the best decisions for their vehicle. "Building a ticket" with unnecessary repairs is not ethical and we'd rather help customers address the needed/recommended repairs for that moment. We appreciate your trust in our team and hope you stay in touch!

These guys are awesome! I had my AC go out and these guys told me what I really needed to have done and what I didn't. They will shoot you straight, are true to the price they quoted and have earned their spot as my go-to mechanic!

Hotchkiss should be the first shop you call! Outstanding customer experience, with very knowledgeable and fair staff! A Saturday snow storm and my Impala wouldn't start. I took out the battery and had it tested at Autozone. Battery held a solid charge. I replaced the Starter Relay in hopes for a cheap fix. No luck, but was able to get the car started. I called Hotchkiss and David (The Owner) immidiately answered, DESPITE BEING CLOSED. He walked me through a list of reasons why the car wouldn't start, and told to bring it in. Within 30 minutes he had found the problem (a bad Starter) and quoted a very reasonable price. An hour later he had the car running like new. Fantastic ownership, knowledgable and willing to help outside of business hours. Can't be beat! THANKS HOTCHKISS!

Best experience EVER! As a female, I am extremely cautious when having my car worked on. I recognize that I don't know enough and could easily be taken advantage of if I don't watch it. Ladies, you can feel comfortable here! The folks at Hotchkiss were so incredibly friendly and helpful! They did an excellent and timely job on my car! The mechanic even took the time to show me the actual part that had broken in my car and explained why it happened. They were so informative and almost over communicated status updates (which I absolutely LOVED)! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that type of service! I will go back to Hotchkiss every time now! I've found my auto shop!!
