Let me start by saying, that I NEVER write reviews. But I need to share my car story. I bought a used car for my daughter going off to college from our neighborhood FB page, during a pandemic. it was the only car we looked at, and bought it on the spot knowing repairs were needed. My bad on that end. We brought it to Hotchkiss for the fixes we knew about, and they found many many more. Like oil leaks and bad valves, the kind of repairs that makes you weep under your sunglasses and face mask. Everything got fixed, but when I went to get the emissions the check engine light kept coming on. Hotchkiss found the problem and fixed it (at no cost, btw) so we could pass the emissions and my daughter could happily head up to college with her new found freedom. But the story doesn't stop there. While up at Fort Collins, 2 of the break lights went out (because everything goes out on old cars after you buy them, right?) I found an auto shop in FOCO because I wanted to get it fixed asap because break lights seem pretty important. During their assessment, they identified another oil leak near the oil pan that needed to be fixed. They gave me an estimate, but this time I wanted to take it back to Hotchkiss. When I called to schedule the appt at Hotchkiss, they remembered me (slightly embarrassing) and got me scheduled the next day. They performed a routine oil change, tire rotation, new wiper blades and fixed the new oil pan leak. But what was awesome was that they found that the valves they replaced before were slightly leaking (again, because i'm cursed with this car) and replaced them under warranty. All of this work was cheaper than the estimate up in FOCO. So while I still kick my self on buying this car, Hotchkiss did a great job and eased my used car anxiety. And my daughter loves the car.
