Denver Auto Repair

My vehicle has been a thorn in my side since I moved to Denver in April 2022. First the AC goes out, my passenger front tire flies off out of nowhere, if I don’t start my car for days it dies, there’s a horrible grinding sound from my front drivers side, the list goes on. I’m dealing with all of this while trying to establish myself here so I’m feeling broken down one day when I try to start my car and it won’t. I’m fed up at this point so I figure out transport to and from work while looking for a place to be take my car. Top of the list Hotchkiss. I call and make the appointment and they get me in the next day. I had thorough diagnostics by the following day. I was tight on money at the time so I had to find the amount they told me a crucial repair would cost plus the diagnostics. They gave me the time to come up with it which took me a little longer than I wanted, but they were just so kind and patient with me. Later they found I needed another part, but I just couldn’t afford it. On my way to pick up my car I’m kicking myself for not being able to afford the part because it wouldn’t truly be fixed now and I would just end up having to pay for the repair again later. When I arrive they want me to talk to Tom specifically. He reminds me of the situation and the other part I needed. . . Then he shows me that it’s been provided and discounted. I was fighting SO hard to keep back the tears. It was my first honest break since I moved here. I’ll be back for sure and trying to pay extra. The staff is amazing. The shop is great! They’re fast and thorough. They strive for excellence. Highly recommended.

I took my 2013 Honda CRV to Hotchkiss yesterday because of a burning odor. Turned out to be something minor. I usually go to the Honda dealership, but wanted to try to patronize a local business. Emily provided excellent customer service, and I feel like the mechanic was very honest in his diagnosis. I picked up my car in the afternoon and the price was very reasonable. I will not hesitate to use Hotchkiss again when needed.

I really like Hotchkiss Automotive their prices are a little steep for me but they do definitely do a good job

Everyone at Hotchkiss is so kind and informative. They are honest about what needs attention vs. what is preventative. They provided the best auto report I’ve ever received which included photos and an explanation for each item. Everything was complete in a timely manner which is always nice.

We went to Hotchkiss Auto Repair to fix some parts of our car after an accident and we expressly asked for pictures of the damage for insurance purposes. They said they would. When we got our car the next day, they told us they had forgotten to take photographs, but that if our insurance had any questions about the repair, "they could just contact us." Well, our insurance reached out to them and then ultimately denied our claim because they could not provide photographic evidence of the accident. Hugely disappointed with our service as I feel like photographs after an accident (especially when prompted by the customer prior to any repairs being done) are pretty standard for insurance purposes, and their assurances that they could just talk to the insurance company to get it covered was deceptive and merely an attempt for us to not raise any objections at the time of repair. I would not go back here.
