Although they are nice and friendly I wish I would have listened to my gut instead of them they convinced me to spend 1500 said it would make my car “safe “ even tho I felt deep down I was getting lied to and I was right my car caught on fire shortly after leaving this shop not saying it’s their fault but it is their fault for lying to me deeming my car safe when it wasn’t; a waste of 1500 and no refund in site. They might be friendly but they’ll lie straight to your face while smiling

However, we strongly disagree with the claim that our team lied to you or recommended unnecessary work. Your vehicle came to us with several documented concerns for noise. We repaired the specific items you authorized, including a failing wheel bearing, damaged battery cable ends, and a worn torque strut. Those were legitimate safety and reliability concerns, and the repairs were completed properly. Although there were documented issues with the vehicle that were not authorized for repair, such as severe oil leaks. We identified an issue with a repair performed by another shop in relation to the fuel line above the fuel tank; this was corrected at no charge to you. We felt we did our duties to keep you safe and repair your vehicle as best we could. It did not mean every condition on the vehicle had been corrected or that no unrelated failure could occur later. We stand behind the inspection, recommendations, and repairs performed by our team. We are sorry for the circumstances you are facing, but we cannot agree that Hotchkiss Auto Repair lied to you or failed to perform the work you authorized.
