I was recommended Hotchkiss by a couple friends. They absolutely lived up to their reputation. They are quick, friendly, and informative. As a gay person going into any auto body shop can be a nerve wracking experience but, I really felt welcome and trusted their judgment. Marseilles is superb and deserves a raise!

They were extremely detailed in the inspection process including photos and explanations. The staff at Hotchkiss auto are true professionals in their craft and their customer service was the best I have ever seen. It was evident to me that the truly care about their customers. They went way above and beyond what you would typically expect from an auto repair shop. It was truly a pleasure dealing with Marseilles and they treat your car like it is their own.

This mechanic is HONEST. My car mysteriously died as I pulled into the parking lot at my work. I called up a AAA tech to jump the car for me and was mislead into thinking I might have an issue with my alternator. I called around all the mechanics nearby with nobody being able to look at my car for days. I was lucky to find Hotchkiss on Yelp. I told them I might have a bad alternator and needed a quick repair. They assured me they would do all they could to get the car diagnosed and repaired by the next day at the latest. I had the car sent to their shop and within just a few hours I got a call back. Instead of just replacing the alternator and scamming me (which they could have easily done) they found that it was simply a loose battery connection with some corrosion and fixed it. Not only did they fix the issue, they took into consideration my need to get the car repaired quickly and exceeded my expectations. It may have been a simple fix, but I am beyond thankful for this shop's honesty and kindness! It is extremely stressful when your car breaks down, but they saved me! Thank you sooo much!

I’m so glad I found Hotchkiss! I’ve always taken my car to the dealership and when they recently mentioned a replacement part/service I needed that was $500, I decided to finally shop around. I saw Hotchkiss’ reviews and set up an appointment for a second opinion. Not only was the process and communication easy and clear, but they also told me that the service and part my dealership said needed immediate attention was not needed. They saved me $500 with their honesty and gained two new customers from it - my husband was so impressed with my interactions that he is also ditching his dealer to come here for his next services. The team was so helpful and courteous - especially Marcellus. Great find!

I had a very smooth and easy experience at Hotchkiss, from beginning to end. Their customer service is impeccable and the prices are reasonable. Marcellus (not sure if I’m spelling name correctly) was very helpful and was able to answer all my questions. They were honest with the repairs that needed/didn’t need urgency, which I greatly appreciated. I will definitely be back, hopefully not soon.

These folks were awesome the entire way through the process. From getting the car in right at close, to walking me through the fixes that I didn't understand. These guys were in a league of their own when it came to auto repair. Not only that, but my car had been in to 3 shops prior to this one. Each one replaced something not related to my issue and sent me on my way. After charging me an arm and a leg. Marcelas gave me good information and got me an affordable solution. "You see Joseph we don't want to just throw money and parts at this thing. We want to give you the time and care you and your vehicle deserve." 10/10 will be coming back to Hotchkiss for my next oil change where they will also be looking into why my airbag light is on.

Kenny and Marseilles were both extremely helpful with my evaporative system leak, they also helped me diagnose a bad alternator. Hotchkiss will take care of you!

I brought my car in for an engine noise, engine light, and oil change. I was treated with superb condescension. Five hours after dropping off my vehicle, I called for an update and was told they had no car matching my car’s description and was I even calling the correct place? Then I was told that I had in fact driven my car away and had never left it with them. Eventually, they called back and said they had me confused with someone else (probably some other young, naive woman—we do all look alike). No apologies. Almost seven hours after my scheduled appointment, I picked up my car and was provided very little information about what was actually wrong with it—just told to take it to my dealership. Certainly you may have a stellar, five-star experience at Hotchkiss Auto Repair if you are a man, but alas, I am not so privileged.

Hi Amanda - your account of the recent experience you had at our shop is disturbing and does not remotely meet the standards we hold ourselves to. Certainly, we do occasionally make mistakes but accountability and friendly customer service is the expectation 100% of the time. We apologize if we did not meet that standard. Can you call our shop and speak to Thomas about your experience? We'd like to further investigate the circumstances of your experience and try to remedy the situation. It would also be helpful as a learning experience for the shop.
